# Profile Settings

## Overview

Your profile settings allow you to manage your personal information that appears throughout Easy Space. This includes your display name and profile photo.

**Key Features:**

* Update your first and last name
* Upload and manage your profile photo
* View your account email address

## Updating Your Name

### Name Requirements

* **First Name:** Must be 2-50 characters long
* **Last Name:** Must be 2-50 characters long
* **Both fields are required**

### How to Update

1. **Navigate to Profile:** Go to User Settings > Profile
2. **Edit Name Fields:** Update your first and last name
3. **Save Changes:** Click "Save" to update your profile
4. **Confirmation:** You'll see a success message when saved

**Note:** Your updated name will appear immediately throughout the platform.

## Managing Your Profile Photo

### Uploading a Photo

1. **Click Avatar:** Click on your current avatar or initials
2. **Select File:** Choose an image from your computer
3. **Automatic Upload:** The photo uploads and updates immediately
4. **Success Notification:** You'll see a confirmation message

### Photo Requirements

* **Supported Formats:** JPG, PNG, GIF
* **Maximum Size:** 3MB per file
* **Recommended:** Square images work best for profile photos

### Removing Your Photo

* **Reset Button:** Click "Reset" to remove your current photo
* **Default Display:** Your initials will be shown instead
* **Immediate Effect:** Changes apply instantly

## Account Information

### Email Address

* **Read-Only:** Your email address cannot be changed in profile settings
* **Login Credential:** This email is used to sign into your account
* **Notifications:** Important account notifications are sent to this email

**Note:** If you need to change your email address, please contact support.

## Troubleshooting

### Photo Upload Problems

**"Invalid file type" Error:**

* Make sure your file is JPG, PNG, or GIF format
* Check that the file extension is correct

**File Too Large:**

* Ensure your image is under 3MB
* Use image compression tools if needed

**Upload Not Working:**

* Check your internet connection
* Try refreshing the page and uploading again
* Clear your browser cache if issues persist

### Name Save Problems

* **Check Length:** Ensure names are between 2-50 characters
* **Remove Special Characters:** Use only letters, spaces, and basic punctuation
* **Fill Both Fields:** Both first and last name are required

## Privacy and Security

* **Visibility:** Your name and photo are visible to other staff members in your space
* **Data Storage:** Profile information is stored securely on Easy Space servers
* **Updates:** You can update your information at any time
* **Professional Use:** Choose appropriate photos for your professional workspace
